The inspiration behind this work stems from my love for texture. The main design is a profile with head full of textures, each lobe of the brain is depicted by a different symbol. The birds stand for courage taking flight, the clocks show every hour of the day signifying passing time and the 1 dirham coins are a piggy bank of ideas I collect from around me. The edge of the platter is covered with small flowers cut and attached carefully as if to embrace it with love and beauty.
